Coquetdale Lodge WM Takes on 170-Mile Charity Ride for Prostate Cancer UK!

11th June 2025

We’re proud to spotlight Worshipful Master Stephen Young of Coquetdale Lodge No. 5122.

On 10 June 2025, he completed a remarkable 170-mile cycling challenge from Bristol to London. The goal? To raise vital funds for Prostate Cancer UK.

This challenge was more than a test of endurance – it was a personal dedication. Stephen cycled in honour of a close friend undergoing prostate cancer treatment. Each mile represented a tribute of hope and solidarity.

Supporting a Life-Saving Mission

Stephen’s ride supported Prostate Cancer UK (Registered Charity Nos. 1005541 and SC039332). This organisation works tirelessly to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Over the next decade, their pioneering research and patient support aim to transform how the disease is diagnosed, treated, and ultimately defeated.

We’re thrilled to report that Stephen raised an incredible £883 through his JustGiving page, far surpassing his original £500 target. This success is thanks to many generous individuals who donated along the way.

Moreover, Alnwick Lodge No. 1167 donated £163, demonstrating strong fraternal support within our Masonic community.

All together, that’s over £1,000 raised – smashing his target and making a real impact for a vital cause!
