Northumberland Freemasons Smash 2020 Festival Target For The RMBI

07th December 2021

After postponing last year due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, Northumberland Freemasons were finally able to celebrate the closing of their 2020 Festival with a spectacular Gala Dinner attended by more than 300 Freemasons, their partners and guests along with Assistant Grand Master, RW Bro Sir David Hugh Wootton in attendance as the special guest of honour.

The Festival President, and Provincial Grand Master, RW Bro. Ian Craigs thanked the Festival Organising Committee, led by the Festival Chairman, and Deputy Provincial Grand Master, VW Bro. Kevin Stannard and reminded those in attendance that when the Festival had commenced , a fundraising target of £2,000,000 had been set. The actual amount raised during the Festival was a staggering… (you will have to watch the video below to find out how much we raised):

I am very proud of the incredible generoisty of the Brethren in the Province of Northumberland for raising such a significant sum during the 2020 Festival in aid of the RMBI. Thank you does not do your remarkable collective efforts justice, but I hope goes some way in expressing how grateful I am to you all.

RW Bro. Ian Craigs, Provincial Grand Master and 2020 Festival President

The Gala Dinner was a wonderful success and a fitting end to a tremendously successful Festival that everyone can all be proud of.
