On May 15th, approximately 30 Northumberland Freemasons, along with their family and friends, embarked on a sponsored walk, demonstrating their commitment to community service and charity. The walk began at The Royal Quays Marina and followed a scenic 13-mile coastal path, concluding at Ridley Park Blyth where a Masonic Engagement marquee had been set up.
RNLI Community Manager expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying,
“Thank you and the Masons so much for the amazing and generous donation. The station at Blyth were very grateful you chose to support them. The money donated will help to fuel the boats so the crew can continue to do what they do 365 days a year, save lives at sea! Donations such as yours are the only way we can keep the boats on the water and your ongoing support is hugely appreciated.”
Supported by 15 Air Cadets from 242 Cramlington Squadron, who recently benefited from a Northumberland Masonic charity grant for their minibus, the event highlighted the strong community ties. The walkers raised £1677 for the RNLI, showcasing their dedication to local causes and community support.
