Northumberland Freemasons Receive Higher Degree Accolades

25th October 2022

A week ago saw members of the Ancient and Accepted Rite, or Rose Croix, in Northumberland make the trip down to the Supreme Council 33°, Duke Street, London.

The large contingent, led by the Head of the Rose Croix in Northumberland, the Inspector General, Very Illustrious Brother Stephen Read and including many guests of the recipients set off from Newcastle Central Station for the trip to London, where a great day was had by all, the ceremony undertaken by the Supreme Council members once again excellent and the dining excellent.

Unfortunately, due to a train cancellation the group had to leave the festivities earlier than expected, missing the toasts, to make the long journey home.

Of particular interest is that the accompanying photograph to this article was taken in Supreme Grand Chapter, with the nine vacant seats behind the members being where the Supreme Council members would normally be seated.

Many thanks to Very Illustrious Brother Stephen Read for the submission of this article.

Congratulations from Northumberland Freemasons to all the brethren on their very well-deserved honours.
