Lindisfarne Lodge Initiate Married Couple

06th March 2023

Wednesday 22nd was a first for Northumberland Freemasonry, when the brethren of Lindisfarne Lodge No.2763, which meets at North Shields Masonic Hall, witnessed the Initiation Ceremony of married couple Brother Troy Richie and Brother Clint Gunn. The couple joined freemasonry when they were proposed by Bro Anth Gunn, the lodge Junior Warden and brother, in all sense of the word, of Clint.

Both Troy and Clint received a warm welcome into the Lodge, during their Initiation, and both agreed the night had been amazing. They initially became interested in joining Northumberland Freemasons after a move from Canada just over 2 years ago. They wanted to give back to the wider community and to feel part of something bigger,

Troy and Clint joined after listening to Anth telling them more about Freemasonry and specifically the core values and friendship. Northumberland Freemasons have a stand booked at Newcastle Pride, later this year in July, and look forward to extolling the virtues of the organisation to anyone who will listen.

Northumberland Freemasons has a history of Initiating partners within the same Lodge, but never a married couple going through their first degree together.

Freemasonry takes pride in its core values of inclusivity and welcomes new members no matter their race, religion and sexual orientation.

Congratulations from everyone at Northumberland Freemasons to Troy and Clint on your initiation into the organisation and we wish you all the very best on your Masonic journey together.
