Grand Lodge Honours

29th April 2020

Today we congratulate those Brethren of the Province of Northumberland who should have been at the appointment and promotion meeting at United Grand Lodge, Great Queen Street, London, in order to accept their Grand Ranks today.

Although, as we are all well aware, Masonic activity has been suspended, these well deserving and worthy Brethren can, forthwith, wear their new regalia with pride.

The brethren who have received appointments and promotions are:

W.Bro Stephen Andrew Little, of Grainger Lodge No.7261, and David Henry Moffett of Arcot Lodge No.7000, both of whom have been appointed to the rank of Past Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies (PAGDC), and Norman Bowser West, of Holy Cross Lodge No.3679, who has been promoted to the rank of Past Junior Grand Deacon (PJGD).

W.Bro Stephen was initiated into Freemasonry in 1993 and exalted into the Royal Arch Chapter in 1994. He held the office of Provincial Junior Grand Warden in 2016 and is a member of Grainger Lodge, Pilgrim Lodge and Northumbrian Masters Lodge. He is also a member of Carliol Chapter where he is their current Scribe E.

W.Bro David was initiated into Freemasonry in 1991 and exalted into the Royal Arch Chapter in 1992. He holds the rank of Second Provincial Grand Principle in the Chapter and is a member of Arcot, and Gosforth Lodges, and Seaton Delaval, Cramlington and Northumberland Past Principles Chapters in which he has been Master on five separate occasions and Z on three occasions.

W.Bro Norman was initiated  into Freemasonry in 1976 and exalted into the Royal Arch Chapter in 1990. He has held the office of Provincial Grand Almoner since 2007 and is a member of Holy Cross and Northumbrian Past Masters Lodges and Howdon Panns Chapter. He has been the Secretary of Holy Cross Lodge for a very impressive 27 years.

We hope the brethren of the Province of Northumberland will join us in congratulating them all on their very deserved preferment and wish them all the best for the future.
