Freemasons help care home residents ‘stay in touch’ with their loved ones during lockdown

16th June 2020

Northumberland Freemasons donated tablet devices to care homes across the Province to help residents ‘stay in touch’ with their loved ones during lockdown.

The donation was part of a wider initiative. 500 tablet devices were donated to care homes across the county funded through the United Grand Lodge of England COVID-19 fund.

The tablet has been great to help our residents stay in touch with their families during lockdown, they’ve also had fun playing games and going online.

Marie Clifford, Home Manager of Allan Court Nursing Home

The tablet devices have already been put to good use and they are being well used by Care Home across the Province.

This is a wonderful initiative to support Care Homes who are doing an amazing job to keep people safe during the Coronavirus Pandemic. On behalf of every Freemason in Northumberland we want to thank Care Home staff and all Key Workers for everything they are doing.
