There are various start points to accommodate those of differing walking abilities, fitness levels, and those with other commitments: Tynemouth Priory, 10am, 10 miles total walk; St Mary’s car park, 11.30am, five miles; The Delaval Arms, noon, four miles; The Astley Arms, 12.30pm, three miles; The Breeze Café, 1pm, two miles, finishing at Blyth Masonic Building, which will be open from 1pm.

WBro. Ian Swanson, Secretary of Cowpen Lodge and Blyth Masonic Building, said: “Bring along your family and friends. Raise money for a charity of your choice. If you are not able to participate in the walk, why not come along and support the event? We really want to make this a family day, so games and activities will be available. The bar will be open too!”

A hot plate buffet, costing £10 per person or £5 per child, will be available if booked. Food will be available from 3pm. Tickets for food are available from the bar or from Ian Swanson (i.swanson17@btinternet.com), Steven Butler and Nigel Hedley.
