Organising a charity event can be a daunting task. There are so many things to consider, from the venue to the menu, however, when it all comes together, it’s a truly rewarding experience. Recently, Northumberland Freemasons led by Gordon Craig’s organised a sell out Provincial Chinese banquet with over 120 attendees, raising in excess of £350 for charity.
Food is always a crucial part of any event, and this was no exception. A carefully selected range of classic Chinese dishes that catered to everyone’s dietary needs and preferences. We also made sure to have a few vegetarian and vegan options available for those who didn’t eat meat. The food was one of the highlights of the night, with guests raving about the delicious flavours and variety on offer.
The event was a huge success, with everyone having a great time while supporting a worthy cause. In conclusion, organising a Chinese banquet with over 80 attendees and raising over £300 for charity is a truly rewarding experience. By carefully planning, selecting delicious food, providing engaging entertainment, and effective fundraising activities, you too can create a memorable and impactful event. The event happened on 22nd April, and we’re already looking forward to the next one.
A follow-up questionnaire was sent out and the results so far have been very favourable. So we hope we can build on this success and hold another event later this year; possibly at an Indian or Japanese restaurant.
