Carliol Chapter No. 5419 Celebrates Golden Jubilee

On 24th February, Carliol Chapter No. 5419 marked a significant milestone by celebrating its Golden Jubilee during a distinguished visit by the Officers of the Provincial Grand Chapter of Northumberland.

The occasion was led by the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, E Comp Kevin Stannard, accompanied by Provincial Officers, who joined the Companions of the Chapter and their guests for this memorable celebration.

A highlight of the ceremony was the reading of the Chapter’s original Charter, dated 1st May 1975, by the Chapter’s most senior Companion, E. Comp Bob Chambers. This provided a poignant reflection on the Chapter’s origins and its enduring legacy over the past fifty years.

The Oration delivered at the original consecration was then recited, reconnecting those present with the spirit and purpose upon which the Chapter was founded. This was followed by heartfelt words of thanksgiving from E Comp Les Dinning, who conveyed warm congratulations and every good wish for the continued success and prosperity of the Chapter.

The celebrations continued at the festive board, where the Most Excellent Zerubbabel, E Comp Kevin Parker, presented a cheque for £1,975 to the Northumberland Masonic Charities Association (NMCA), along with a further £255 raised through a raffle in support of the Teddies for Loving Care (TLC) Appeal.

The evening was marked by warmth, companionship, and a strong sense of tradition, celebrating not only fifty years of the Carliol Chapter but also its ongoing contributions to Freemasonry and charitable work in Northumberland.
