Belvedere Lodge Sings The (Light) Blues

Last Thursday saw the latest Initiate joining Belvedere Lodge No.6558, which meets at Whitley Bay Masonic Hall.

Jordan Stephen Kay, the son-in-law of the current Master of the Lodge, W.Bro Stuart Collingwood, now joins two other members, Bros. Robert Alastair Wilson and Michael George Reay, in waiting to undertake their Second Degree.

Jordan was ably guided through his initiation by two Light Blue members of the Lodge in the guise of Bro Scott Bullock, as Senior Deacon, and Bro Innocent James, as Junior Deacon.

In addition a very generous donation of £500 was made, via the Provincial Membership Officer, W.Bro Gary Breach, from Northumberland Freemasons, to Derbyshire Freemasons who were undertaking a sponsored cycle ride, over the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Weekend, from Whitley Bay to Leith, raising funds for their Festival.

Congratulations to Jordan from everyone at Northumberland Freemasons and we wish you many happy years in the Craft. Northumberland Freemasons also wish Derbyshire Freemasons all the best on their fund raising efforts.

Many thanks go to W.Bro Gary Breach for the submission of this article.
