Another Successful Exaltation for the Duke of Connaught Chapter

The Royal Arch continues to thrive in Northumberland, with another successful exaltation taking place at Maple Terrace Masonic Temple on Friday, 15th May.

Bro. Mark Dixon was Exalted into the Duke of Connaught Royal Arch Chapter No. 3892 less than a year after being Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason at Holmes Lodge No. 2571 on 25th May 2025 – a reflection of his enthusiasm and commitment to his Masonic journey.

Mark has already demonstrated a keen interest in Freemasonry, taking on his first officer’s role as Inner Guard at the Lodge Installation Meeting in October. He is also looking forward to further expanding his Masonic knowledge through involvement with the Knights Templar and beyond.

The ceremony was conducted by Excellent Companion Guy Smith, Provincial Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies, serving as Zerubbabel (Z), alongside Excellent Companion Ritchie Freeman as Haggai (H) and Excellent Companion Trevor Fish as Joshua (J), who explained the signs. Companion Gary Flemming acted as Principal Sojourner.

A particularly special moment came for the candidate himself as the ceremony unfolded. Reflecting afterwards, Mark commented:

“When the hoodwink was removed the room looked spectacular.”

The Province extends its congratulations to Companion Mark Dixon on his Exaltation and wishes him every success as he continues his Royal Arch journey.

Anyone interested in joining the Royal Arch is encouraged to speak with their Lodge or Chapter Representative to learn more about this important and rewarding next step in Freemasonry.
