A Big Northumberland Freemasons Welcome

02nd August 2022

Let’s give a big Northumberland Freemasons welcome to our latest initiate.

Bro Alexander Williamson, recently initiated into Arcot Lodge No.7000, which meets at Cramlington Masonic Hall, was proposed into the Craft by his brother-in-law, Bro. Tony Simmons, the Junior Warden of the Lodge, after retiring due to ill health and learning all about Freemasonry from Tony.

The Lodge was joined by a contingent from Lord Warkworth Lodge No.1879, which meets at Amble Masonic Hall, which included their newest member, Bro.Will Dunn, who joined the Lodge through the Pathways scheme only 2 weeks after initially applying in September 2021. This was his first visit as a mason to see the initiation ceremony performed.

A very convivial Festive Board then ensued during which time Alex made firm friends with the Lodge Junior Deacon, Bro James McKerracher (Jock), a fellow Scot.

Congratulation Alex and we wish you many happy years in the Craft.

Many thanks to W.Bro Gary Breach for the submission of this article.
