A Year of Uniting Efforts
The Widows Sons’ united efforts over the last financial year (February 2023 – January 2024) were truly remarkable. Together, they raised an astounding £148,500 for various charitable causes. In addition to their financial contributions, the Widows Sons have been instrumental in bringing new members into Freemasonry. Their efforts attracted over 200 candidates, with many joining Masonry through Percy Lodge, the home of the Widows Sons in Northumberland.
Moreover, their work has had a significant impact on preserving Masonic heritage, as they played a crucial role in saving several lodges and Royal Arch chapters from closure.
Growth and Expansion
The Widows Sons’ network continues to expand, with 44 chapters now established across England and Wales, boasting over 2,000 members. This growth is a testament to the dedication and enthusiasm of its members, who remain committed to supporting one another and their communities.
As the Widows Sons look to the future, they remain a powerful force for good, driving camaraderie, charity, and the continued growth of Freemasonry.
