Northumberland Freemasons Prepare to Honour the Fallen

On Saturday, 1st November 2025, the second Freemasons’ National Remembrance Service will take place in the Masonic Garden at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire.

The Provincial Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother Kevin Stannard, will attend the ceremony, accompanied by a Standard Bearer and a group of Northumbrian Brethren, where he will lay a wreath on behalf of the Province in solemn remembrance of those who gave their lives in service.

Preparing for the Ceremony

In preparation for this important event, during the Installation Meeting of Percy Lodge No. 1427 held last night, Worshipful Brother Brian Denton, Past Assistant Provincial Grand Master, presented the Provincial wreath to Worshipful Brother Peter Younger, Past National Chairman of the Widows’ Sons Masonic Bikers Association.

W. Bro. Younger, along with several of his fellow Masonic bikers, has undertaken the task of transporting the wreath by motorcycle to the Arboretum in readiness for the Service.

Wishing a Safe and Honourable Journey

The Province extends its warm thanks and best wishes to Peter and his colleagues for their dedication in ensuring the wreath’s safe arrival—and hopes for a safe journey and fine weather as they make their symbolic ride to and from the Midlands.
