The Farne & Glendale Masonic Lodge in Seahouses has proudly presented a donation of £400 to Little Roots and Shoots, a valued community group based at St Mary’s Parish Church in Belford.
The group offers a warm, welcoming space for parents and carers with children aged 0–5 to socialise, access support, and receive essential items. In addition to weekly meetups, Little Roots and Shoots provides free Baby Boxes, food parcels, and vital supplies for families in need across Belford, Seahouses, Ellingham, and Bamburgh.
The service is completely free and run with a strong community ethos. Excitingly, the group is now working towards setting up a second hub in Seahouses to further extend its reach.
W Bro. Darren Curry, representing Seahouses Masonic Lodge, presented the cheque to Rhys Grant and Jodie Lennon. The presentation included a showcase of one of the Baby Boxes—symbolising the group’s hands-on support for families.
You can support the initiative by donating toys, clothing, or other child-friendly items. For more information, visit the group’s Facebook page: Little Roots and Shoots (Belford) or contact Rhys Grant directly on 07468 531341.
