This weekend saw an excellent turnout for the latest St Nicholas Perambulation, this time along the vibrant Gosforth High Street. The event, cleverly named “Go Forth in Gosforth,” was a perambulation of fine public houses, all in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.
The atmosphere was lively as attendees, including two brethren from the Earl Of Durham Lodge in the province of Durham, Marty and Tony, joined the festivities. The duo, who were previously met at the Gambrinus Lodge inauguration, were accompanied by their partners, Susan and Sandra, adding a delightful touch to the gathering.
Throughout the day, the group visited six different establishments, savoring a variety of beers, ales, stouts, and lagers. The weather cooperated, allowing participants to enjoy the fresh air and the camaraderie of outdoor seating.
Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved, the event raised £126 and a Day Rider bus ticket, all going to support the important work of Prostate Cancer UK. The organizers expressed their gratitude and enthusiasm, looking forward to planning the next event in the near future.
A special thanks goes out to everyone who participated, and an open invitation is extended for the next perambulation—where once again, all will be welcome!
