Brethren from the Farne and Glendale Lodge No. 5228 in Seahouses, Northumberland, have shown their commitment to the local community through a donation to the Belford Medical Centre. This week, representatives from the Lodge presented a cheque for £500, which will be used to purchase essential medical equipment for the residents of Belford, Bamburgh, and Seahouses.
The funds will be used to acquire a Paediatric Pulse Oximeter. This crucial device enables medical staff to quickly and reliably measure blood oxygen levels in young patients.
This donation is part of a broader initiative by Glendale Lodge to support local efforts. The Lodge has also recently donated £1,000 to the Belford Community Gym and £500 to the Wooler Doctors Fund at The Wooler Medical Centre. The contribution to the Wooler Doctors Fund will help maintain equipment that is frequently lent out to patients, further benefiting the wider community.
