Tyne Lodge Raises £3,910 For TLC Through Outstanding Efforts

09th April 2023

Tyne Lodge No 991, which meets at North Shields Masonic Hall, has recently made an outstanding effort in raising the standards and funds for Teddies for Loving Care, a charity providing comfort to children and parents in A&E departments throughout the UK. The charity’s work helps to reduce the shock and distress of children’s visits to A&E by providing them with teddy bears to take home.

The efforts of 2 members of the Lodge led to the raising of £1,810 through a raffle conducted across several lodges in North Tyneside. The winner of the raffle was drawn by the RWBro Ian Craigs in early February, adding to the already impressive amount raised.

But the efforts did not stop there with W.Bro Alan Forrest, the Master of Tyne Lodge, recently walking The West Highland Way, covering 96 miles from Milngavie near Glasgow to Fort William., as previously reported. Initially setting a target of £500, Alan’s efforts, combined with the generosity of brethren, family, and friends, resulted in a staggering £2,100 raised for the charity.

Through the combined efforts of Tyne Lodge No 991, a total of £3,910 was raised for TLC, contributing to the valuable work the charity does in helping children and parents in their time of need.
