On 24th September, two teams of Northumberland Freemasons joined the ranks of 84 golfers at the prestigious Close House Golf Club in Northumberland for theAnnual Cat & Dog Shelter Golf Day. The event, which drew participants from across the region, was a massive success, raising more than £15,000 for the local charity.
A Day of Fellowship and Fundraising
With the sun shining over the stunning course at Close House, the Freemasons fielded two teams of four, each competing not only for a chance at victory on the fairway but to support a cause close to the community’s heart. The Cat & Dog Shelter provides essential care for abandoned and stray animals, and this annual event has become a cornerstone in the shelter’s fundraising efforts.
