The Mayor of Morpeth, Alison Byard was invited to Newminster Lodge in Morpeth to receive a cheque for her chosen charity, Northumbria Blood Bikes.
The Mayor made Northumbria Blood Bikes her charity of 2019/20 after hearing about the work that the unpaid Blood Bikers do out of hours to transport vital blood supplies across the region.
The evening at the Masonic Hall featured a presentation about the work of the Blood Bikers and a cheque for £300 was handed over to the Mayor for her charity.
