The Northumberland Festival 2031 was officially launched last night at the Provincial Gala Dinner, marking the start of what promises to be a significant and meaningful journey for the Province.
The evening began with Festival lead Paul Winship setting out the aims and ambitions of the Festival, followed by an address from Kevin Stannard, Provincial Grand Master. John Bruce, Deputy Provincial Grand Master, was then introduced as Festival Chairman, bringing strong leadership to the initiative.
Representatives from The Freemasons’ Charity spoke about how funds are used to support a wide range of causes, both within Freemasonry and across the wider community. Their presentation highlighted the real and lasting impact of charitable giving throughout the North East.
A key moment of the evening saw a cheque presentation £300,000 to The Freemasons’ Charity, demonstrating the Province’s commitment and setting a strong foundation for the years ahead.
The formal proceedings were followed by a lively evening of entertainment, with live music filling the room and encouraging many onto the dance floor. The atmosphere carried through into the early hours, reflecting the strength of connection and shared purpose across those in attendance.
The Festival 2031 journey has now begun.
