Kind hearted Masonic motorcyclists have donated a Wishing Well to a Northumberland care home to help residents’ dreams come true.
Freemason Eric Morley was asked by Scarborough Court care home in Cramlington if he could build a well so that once a month, one lucky resident would have their wish pulled out and where practical, the wish would come true.
Eric enlisted the help of his colleagues in the Northumbria Chapter of the Widows Sons Motorcycle Association and Lodge De Ogle in Morpeth to provide the funds for materials and the well was then delivered to the care home.
Eric made the first wish himself which was that in view of the COVID-19 crisis, that all of the residents and staff at the care home remain safe and well.
“It’s been a pleasure building the well and when it is safe to do so, we will all get on our bikes and visit the residents to see the wishing well in use”
