After missing out on receiving the accolade of a Fifty Year Certificate, to have been presented by the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, back in October due to Covid, congratulations can now be heaped, in a re-run of the initial meeting, on W.Bro Edward Cockburn, of Brier Dene Lodge No.5344, which meets at Whitley Bay Masonic Hall, on achieving fifty two fabulous years in Freemasonry.
Edward was initiated into Freemasonry, into the now erased Rockliffe Lodge No.5265, in June 1969, remaining a member until it closed in 2010. He joined Whitley Lodge No.2821 in December 2007, again until it was erased in 2011, finally joining Brier Dene Lodge No.5344, which he remains a member of to this day. Edward was the Master of Rockliffe Lodge in 1981.
He was Exalted into the Royal Arch Chaptrer in 1983, into Napier Clavering Royal Arch Chapter No.2821, resigning in 1998 and subsequently re-joining in 2015., where he is currently their Second Assistant Sojourner.
Congratulations from everyone at Northumberland Freemasons to Edward on attaining this fantastic achievement
