Great to see Northumberland Freemasons very own W.Bro Andrew Smith of Holmes Lodge No2571, which meets at Byker Masonic Hall, getting involved in the weekend action at the events in Walbottle’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations.
On Thursday he made the Proclamation of the Jubilee Celebrations, as Town Cryer, followed by witnessing the Beacon lighting in the evening.
Friday saw a teddy bears picnic in the village orchard with over 70 visitors and the main event on Saturday saw a few hundred on the village green with craft stalls, food, entertainment and fine weather.
To top it all off he then featured in United Grand Lodge of Englands special Platinum Jubilee edition of First Rising. well done Andrew!!!
