New Blood Brothers For The St Anthonys Lodge

31st August 2021

Friday 27th August is another date for the history books of The St Anthony’s Lodge No.4423, which meets at Byker Masonic Building, when two generations of the same family became brothers.

In an interesting twist from the norm, and rarely seen in the Province at present, Light Blues occupied every progressive office in the Lodge, and Bro. John Celino, the Lodges Inner Guard, witnessed his 75 year old father, Bro. Frank Celino, initiated into Freemasonry, making father and son brothers. John was initiated into Freemasonry in October 2016 and, even though the Inner Guard, was offered the chance of performing more of the ceremony, which he grasped with both hands, when he delivered the lesser lights to his father.

Congratulations to Bro. Frank on his initiation into Freemasonry and to both Frank and John on becoming brothers. We look forward to the day that we can report on John installing his father into the Chair of King Solomon as Worshipful Master.

With their Centenary due in April next year The St Anthonys Lodge is indeed looking in a very healthy state.

Thanks go to Bro. Darren Bolton, Junior Warden of St Anthony’s Lodge and Secretary of the Northumberland Light Blues Club.
