Sunday 11th December saw the Northumberland Light Blues Club host their annual Christmas meal at Amici’s Restaurant in Forest Hall.
Despite the weather, in excess of thirty members, from all over the Province, thoroughly enjoyed the evening with prizes for a ‘name that Santa’ picture quiz and ‘best’ Christmas jumper, which was a close run thing, with W.Bro. Wilf Crawford, of The St Anthony’s Lodge No. 4423 which meets at Byker Masonic Hall, running a close second to Bro. Andrew Kelly of Hulne Priory Lodge No. 6464, which meets at Alnwick Masonic Hall.
The evening’s raffle raised a magnificent £155, which is to be split evenly between the Teddies for Loving Care charity and Bro. Jamie Bell, of Deleval Lodge No.2568 which meets at Maple Terrace, charity cycle ride from Lands End to John O’Groats in aid of a new, specially adapted minibus, for the Sir Charles Parson Special Education School.
