In a remarkable ceremony held at the Fern Avenue Masonic Centre, Newcastle upon Tyne, the Provincial Grand Chapter of Northumberland celebrated the investiture of E Comp Philippe Adrian Pagès as Deputy Grand Superintendent. The prestigious event, which took place during the Ridley Royal Arch Chapter’s Annual Convocation on Monday, 4th November 2024, was graced by the presence of the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, E Comp Ian Craigs, who led the formal proceedings.
The evening commenced with the opening of the Chapter, setting a dignified tone for the evening’s business. After the initial confirmations of minutes and procedural formalities, the highlight of the evening unfolded—the investiture of E Comp Philippe Adrian Pagès. His appointment as Deputy Grand Superintendent marks a significant milestone in his distinguished Masonic journey, with the full support of his fellow Companions in the Northumberland Province.
E Comp Pagès, known for his dedication and integrity, holds the rank of Past Grand Standard Bearer (PGStB) and has served with distinction in various roles within the Chapter. His investiture is not only a testament to his commitment to the values of Freemasonry but also a celebration of his contributions to the Masonic community in Northumberland. His new role will see him working closely with E Comp Ian Craigs and other senior officers, guiding and supporting Masonic activities and promoting fellowship within the Chapter.
The event brought together Brethren from various Chapters across the Province, filling the Fern Avenue Masonic Centre with camaraderie and respect. Following the formal proceedings, Companions and guests gathered for the Festive Board at approximately 8:30 pm, where toasts were made in celebration of the new Deputy Grand Superintendent. The convivial atmosphere, delicious meal, and heartfelt speeches provided a fitting end to an extraordinary evening.
