David Henry Wallace Fifty Not Out

03rd May 2022

Congratulations from everyone at Northumberland Freemasons to Bro. David Wallace on completing fifty years of uninterupted service to the Craft.

David was initiated into Freemasonry when he joined St John’s Lodge No.1712, which meets at Maple Terrace Masonic Hall, in August 1971 at the West Masonic Temple, Ferguson Lane, Newcastle upon Tyne. He has never decided to take office, however, has remained a member since that day and is an active member of the Finance and General Purposes Committee. His support and regular attendance at the meetings of St John’s Lodge has been greatly appreciated by the Lodge over the years.

Following COVID restrictions and David attempting to stay safe, and not wanting to postpone his hip operation, the presentation was delayed until 22nd April 2022, when WBro Brian Rudd, PSGD PAPGM, made the presentation.

Prior to his retirement David was a joiner by trade.

Many thanks to W.Bro Bill Errington for the submission of this article.
