Freemasons from Bedlington Masonic Hall have donated food collected by their members to help The Mathew Project Foodbank based in Bedlington.
The Mathew Project Foodbank is a vital community-based organisation and supports families and individuals in the Bedlington area. Around 15 families a week depend on the foodbank.
Boxes of food, tins and packets were donated by the Bedlington Freemasons who heard about the good work of the foodbank in the town and wanted to help.
Peter Rand a volunteer driver with the Mathew Project was delighted with the food parcels and said
“Thanks to Northumberland Freemasons for this brilliant food donation this will go a long way to helping those in need.”
Joe Potts a Freemason from Bedlington said “it’s a great pleasure to be able to help and support the Mathew Project Foodbank” He expressed his thanks to the members of the Bedlington Masonic Hall for their generosity and kindness.
