The last day of March witnessed the latest Team B visit, led by WBro Gordon Craigs, to Bretwalda Lodge No.9006, which meets at Shiremoor Masonic Hall.
On this occasion the well represented team witnessed not only the Second Degree Ceremony of Bro Lee Marsh, who had joined the Lodge via the Membership Pathways Scheme, but also the vote of the Lodge members to merge with Pons Aelii Lodge No.4523, which currently meets at Fern Avenue Masonic Hall, and is celebrating its centenary anniversary later this year, thus preserving the rich history of both Lodges.
A contingent of members from Pons Aelii Lodge were present to witness the ballot and to see the agreement to call the amalgamated Lodge Bretwalda Pons Aelii Lodge No.4523.
Everyone at Northumberland Freemasons congratulates Lee on his progression in the Craft and wishes him luck when he finally undertakes his Third Degree Ceremony, and wishes the, soon to be, amalgamated Lodge the best of luck for many years to come in their combined venture.
