After the, far too long, enforced exile into the wilderness of the Officers of Provincial Grand Chapter for nearly two years, the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, Ian Craigs, along with a full retinue of Officers from Provincial Grand Chapter, descended on De Lorraine Royal Arch Chapter No.541, which meets at Fern Avenue Masonic Hall, to finally kick start their Provincial visits.
Having already missed out on the possibility of a first visit, an earlier celebratory meeting to commemorate the Centenary of King Edward VII Chapter, which meets at Newbiggin by the Sea Masonic Hall, due to ongoing building works, the companions were treated to a very convivial meeting and witnessed Companion Geoff Eggleston being installed as Third Principle of the Chapter.
The enjoyable evening continued onto a Festive Board where the enjoyment of the whole affair was almost palpable with, amongst other things the Provincial Third Grand Principle, E.Comp George Wady proposing the toast to the Chapter and including a very fitting tribute to its extensive history.
