HEXHAM Freemasons have donated £500 to help their local foodbank carry out their good work during the Christmas period.
In Hexham, the West Northumberland Foodbank have been operating since 2013 and cover a huge area from Prudhoe across to the Cumbrian border and up to Kielder, Bellingham and beyond.
A cheque was presented to the foodbank by Hexham freemason Colin Reader with £200 coming from Hexham Priory Lodge and a further £300 from Graham Reader Tyres in the town.
“The foodbank does a tremendous job, and everyone associated with Hexham freemasons appreciates the work they do for our community.”
